TANAH LOT TOUR 
DAY TOUR: 6 HOURS



 

Departing from Puri Tupai Villa after breakfast, first stop at Jatiluwih village once a UNESCO cultural heritage site candidate, the Jatiluwih rice terraces comprise over 600 hectares of rice fields that follow the flowing topography of the Batukaru mountain range. The terraces use the traditional water management cooperative known as “subak” which dates back to the 9th century. Enjoy a relaxing drink in a cafe right in the center of the rice fields. Travel on to visit Tanah Lot Bali’s most important coastal temple. “Tanah” means land and “Lot (lod / laut)” means the sea, therefore “rock in the sea” Located at Beraban village and built in the 16th century it is possible to walk up to the temple. Here you can often see Balinese praying and making offerings to the Gods at this special place.


KINTAMANI, PINGGAN & TEGALALANG TOUR
FULL DAY TOUR: 8 HOURS


Depart early to the top of the island to the village of Kintamani, a town that straddles the southwest ridge of the crater and enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur. View the solidified black lava trail from the peak into the valley below. The substantial lava field was formed from the largest eruption in 1926. Enjoy a Coffee at Aroma Cafe and enjoy spectacular views of the volcano and lake below. Drive on along the edge of the calderon to Desa Pinggan and view the beautiful views on the opposite side of Mt Batur. Lunch can be in Kintimani or Ubud with several options.
Travel to Ubud via Tegalalang rice terraces. Choose to visit the Goa Gajah elephant cave dated from the 11th century, or the spectacular Monkey forest temple in the heart of Ubud village. A visit to the local craft markets or one of the traditional artist villages making silver, painting or woodcarving, can also be included .


GWK STATUE, ULUWATU TEMPLE & BLUE POINT LUNCH
HALF DAY TOUR: 6 HOURS


Morning departure to the Bukit Peninsula in south Bali where the magnificent Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue stands watch over the island. The 75 metre tall & 65 metre wide statue sits on a pedestal bringing the total height to 121 metres nearly 30 metres taller than the Statue of Liberty in New York. After visiting the GWK drive to Uluwatu temple “Pura Luhur” perched on a steep drop off to the sea below and the most southern point of Bali. Watch the monkeys scampering around the cliffs looking out to the Indian Ocean. Short drive to Blue Point for lunch at Single Fin Cafe set on the edge of an epic cliff. The famous Uluwatu surf break with great views of the surfers riding the waves while you enjoy a delicious lunch. Return by mid afternoon.


UBUD HIGHLIGHTS TOUR
HALF DAY TOUR: 5 HOURS


Ubud the perfect balance between culture and nature. Morning departure for Batubulan village the center of stone carving in Bali. View a performance of the Barong and Keris dance in this traditional setting. Continue on to either the batik, silver or wood carver villages to see, silversmiths and wood carvers create the beautiful designs and objects, which Bali is well known for. Watch as these ancient crafts are made by the local artisans. In Ubud village enjoy a casual lunch of local delicacies at Indus Restaurant on the edge of the valley overlooking the Ayung River, as it flows slowly between the soft slopes of rice fields far below.
After lunch we visit the monkey forest temple to see how nature and these playful animals have made their home in this stone structure. Built in a shady forest, the large temple sits quietly in beautiful harmony as man, animal and nature co-exist. Visit the Ubud Palace to see classic Balinese architecture steeped in the ancient history of this magical island. Last stop of the day is the Sukawati art market, a lively local place to bargain for many of the creations that you have seen on the tour and to experience real daily Bali life.
